Academy Charter School Support Program for Homeschool Families
Over 25 Years of supporting local homeschooling families
MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT
Mission Statement: We strive to support homeschool families by providing academically rigorous K-8th grade Science and Spanish curriculum through hands-on lessons that enhance learning in the classroom and foster peer relationships.
Vision Statement: As the ACS Homeschool program, we strive to maintain excellent teaching and student engagement through continuously exceeding Colorado’s State and Core Knowledge Standards.
While providing instructional support, we acknowledge that the homeschool parents remain the primary provider for the education of their children.

CLASS INFORMATION
Kindergarten: Class size is limited to ten students. This is a great way to introduce your child to Science, Spanish, phonics and other important kindergarten skills.
First through Eighth Grades Science: Class size is small, limited to 18 students. Students have the opportunity to work collaboratively with others, present projects, share ideas and build friendships. The certified teachers provide hands on activities to support the Core Knowledge Science Curriculum.
Spanish: The ACS Homeschool Program for Spanish instruction includes vocabulary, conversational phrases, reading, speaking, writing, and listening. It also includes songs, games and information about the culture of Spanish speaking countries.
Kindergarten-4th grade: Most of the homeschool work is completed during our program sessions, where students have support and guidance. Some assignments are sent home to either give students a chance to practice independently and strengthen what they've learned or to make up for an absence.
5th-8th grade: Homeschool work is primarily completed during homeschool program sessions, providing structure and support for key learning activities. However, some assignments are designed to be completed at home to reinforce skills and foster independent study habits or to make up for an absence.
PROGRAM FEE
Children participating in ACS Homeschool Program are enrolled as a part time students at Academy Charter School and therefore it is a tuition free program. We do ask for a small material fee to assist in the supplies needed to conduct the many hands-on activities. All students pay $30 with a max of $120 per family. Academy Charter School fully covers the curriculum for the subjects we teach (Science and Spanish). A basic school supply list will be sent out before classes begin.
