CLASS INFORMATION

Kindergarten: Class size is limited to ten students. This is a great way to introduce your child to Science, Spanish, phonics and other important kindergarten skills.

First through Eighth Grades Science: Class size up to 14 students. Students have the opportunity to work collaboratively with others, present projects, share ideas and build friendships. The certified teachers provide hands on activities to support the Core Knowledge Science Curriculum.

Spanish: The ACS Homeschool Program for Spanish instruction includes vocabulary, conversational phrases, reading, speaking, writing, and listening.  It also includes songs, games and information about the culture of Spanish speaking countries.

Most Assignments Completed in Class:
The assignments are presented in total during class. We usually do not ask the student to complete additional work at home. However, students are expected to review class content regularly and prepare for exams.

Program Fee: Children participating in ACS Homeschool Program are enrolled as a part time students at the charter school and therefore it is a tuition free program. We do ask for a small material fee to assist in the supplies needed to conduct the many hands-on activities. All students pay $30 with a max of $120 per family. Academy Charter School fully covers the curriculum for the subjects we teach (Science and Spanish). A basic school supply list will be sent out before classes begin.

While providing instructional support, we acknowledge that the homeschool parents remain the primary provider for the education of their children.

Our Lottery Registration Form will open each year in mid November for the following school year.
