Field Day is next Friday, September 11 from 8:00-11:45. Our commitment to hold this year's "Colorado Field Day" is holding strong, but with that, comes a few modifications. Although many schools may or may not be having extracurricular activities such as Field Day, we have chosen to modify our day in order to celebrate and still have lots of fun!
Our first request is that parents and siblings may not stay as spectators, as in previous years. Please drop off at 7:45 morning carpool and pick up at 11:45 carpool. This is necessary to keep our students in their current cohorts. I know this is disappointing, however the classroom teachers have committed to taking lots of pictures and will share them with you as a class. Thank you teachers!
A second change this year is that the 6th graders will not be running our events. Again, this will keep all students in their cohorts. Our specials teachers, specialists, and assistants will be running the games this year. A big thank you to them as well!
Lastly, the day will be split into 2 sessions, so while one group of students is outside in stations, another group will be inside doing fun activities with their teachers. This will help keep our stations spread out on the field. It will be a fun-filled day for sure!
If you ordered Field Day shirts, they will be delivered to ACS next week and will be handed out by nextThursday. Also, look for an email for last minute details next week.
Please know that our commitment to your children having a fun, safe Field Day experience has always been our priority. Thank you for entrusting us with them and for your flexibility.
