BOX TOPS

Box Top Bertie has had to fly south. She hated to leave all you wonderful students, but felt confident that you would carry on the job of helping raise money for ACS by continuing to cut box tops and bring them in for ACS. Now look for the blue box on the table in the hall with “box tops” all over it, and drop your box tops in there.

We are off to a great start this school year with our Box Top Fundraiser. The ACS-PTO would like to thank the following students for all their efforts in cutting out box tops and dropping them in the bucket. Remember this is an easy way to raise money for your school!

Kaeyla Myers Dylan Cox
Conor Lemon Anna Stucky

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

If you think cutting out box tops is not something you want to take the time to do……think again! You could be the hero of your classroom. That’s right, 3 times this school year, one lucky middle school student’s name will be chosen from a drawing made up of middle school students who have contributed the most box tops each month. So be sure you cut out those box tops and write your name and grade on them or place them in a baggie with your name and grade. If you are the lucky person drawn you will be responsible for your classroom enjoying a pizza party.

So far, the following names will be placed in the drawing for a pizza party for their class:

Maddy Amiot Culley McNeil
Buddy Schnauel Brandon Ellis
Nolan Gould Wacey Connor
Bill Kakenmaster Brennan Lynk
Skylar Nelson Sarah Stark
Casey Marsh

Be watching for more information!

Clip those box tops and put your names on them or place them in a baggy with your name on the baggy so you can be a winner too!

Attend the September 19th PTO meeting and enjoy a pizza dinner with your family and FREE babysitting for the meeting following dinner! In lieu of our restaurant nights this school year, we are providing dinner for our busy ACS families at each PTO General Meeting.

Dinner will start at 6:15 pm and run until 6:55 pm at which time you can drop your kiddos off downstairs for FREE babysitting by the 8th graders! The General Meeting will last approximately 1 hour.

Little Caesar’s Pizza is the featured restaurant for this meeting. Please look in your Friday folder for your pre-order form so we know how much to order!

Please come support our school. Your input is needed at our PTO general meeting on September 19th (Remember each family is required to attend one meeting a year and it also counts toward volunteer time!).

Every month we have the opportunity to feed our fantastic teachers! To show our appreciation to them we bring in breakfast the last Friday of the month. We also provide a luncheon for them twice a year around conference times.
A big thanks to the following who helped bring food in for our teacher breakfast:
Darla Brooks, Kelly Brown, Julia Connor, Shel Dammann, Susan DiBartolomes, Kim Gentry, Adele Harbick, Carrie Herren, Mary Keller, Ayako Krum, Kendra Lane, Kathleen Montgomery, Kate Powell, Patty Sansom, Staci Searl, Niki Schaurhammer, Amy Tenn.
Our next breakfast will be September 28th. The students are off that day but the teachers still have to come in.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your willingness to help out

Don’t forget to check out the teacher “Wish Lists” located on the ACS website. This is a great way to support the teachers and departments for the extra needs and wants that make the teachers jobs easier and more creative, and ultimately make our students learning experience even more fun.

ACS NEEDS YOU! If you have your own business or work for a large corporation, ACS needs you. We need your support in any and all areas. Many corporations have the ability to match donations or make donations, and you might not even know it. Sometimes all it takes is you proving you are volunteering and your company can donate to your school. We need you to go to your Human Resources Department or your boss and ask them how that company can give back to your school. Tell us what we can do to facilitate the donation, and we will do all we can to assist your business. We can provide any documentation needed for a tax write-off. Please contact us and let us know how you and your company can help ACS.
