Please plan to attend the April 5 General Meeting. We will
be conducting elections for next school year officers and there
will be important budget request approvals up for public vote.
We
have made progress on people willing to step up for next years
PTO Board, but still have a couple of vital positions needing
filling. Please give this your full thought and consideration.
2007-2008
Remaining PTO Board Positions still without Volunteers President
- Runs monthly Executive and General PTO Meetings
- Runs voting’s
- Liaisons with PTO Board, Governing Board,
Deans, ACS Staff, Teachers and Parents
- Coordinates with all PTO
Board Members
Treasurer
- Maintain all accounting books and records for the PTO
- File and
manage all Federal and State reports and returns
- Keep the PTO
Board and ACS community apprised of the PTO’s
financial standing at all times through updated budgets
and financials.
All PTO Board Members are required, per the PTO By-Laws,
to attend all Executive and General PTO Meetings
If you
have any questions or interest in any of the positions, please
contact Misty O'Leary at 303-688-6631 or jimandmisty@comcast.net. Misty O’leary
PTO President

Our next General Meeting is scheduled for April 5th. Among
other issues, the public will be voting for 2007-08 officer
positions, as well as some important budget requests.
Please remember that part of the twenty-hour volunteer
requirement for ACS families is to attend one PTO Meeting
during the school year!
PTO Elections will be taking place at our April
General Meeting. This is a great way to be actively involved
with the school and get your volunteer hours. If you think
you may be interested in joining the Board for the 2007-08
school year, contact Misty O’Leary at jimandmisty@comcast.net.
Agendas for all meetings will be posted on the PTO Board
just inside the school entrance at least five days before
each meeting.
Please Attend PTO General Meetings!!
The Board has noticed a marked absence of parents at our General Meetings this
year. The PTO Board believes active parent involvement is vital. Since there
are two more scheduled General Meetings this school year, and part of the
ACS parent responsibility is to attend at least one PTO Meeting during the
year, the PTO Board is pleased to work with the 8th grade class in providing
free babysitting services during our General Meetings for the rest of the
school-year.

Exciting FUNdraising News!
Brain Quest – This newly created event puts our kids

Thank you for your continued support of this year-long
fundraiser that directly impacts the grades and departments
at ACS!

Don’t forget to check out the teacher “Wish
Lists” located on the ACS website. This is a great
way to support the teachers and departments for the extra
needs and wants that make the teachers jobs easier and
more creative, and ultimately make our students learning
experience even more fun.

ACS NEEDS YOU! If you have your own business or work for
a large corporation, ACS needs you. We need your support
in any and all areas you can think of. Many corporations
have the ability to match donations or make donations, and
you might not even know it. Sometimes all it takes is you
proving you are volunteering and your company can donate
to your school. We need you to go to your Human Resources
Department or your boss and ask them how that company can
give back to your school. Tell us what we can do to facilitate
the donation, and we will do all we can to assist your business.
We can provide any documentation needed for a tax write-off.
Please contact us and let us know how you and your company
can help ACS.
