April 7 – registration begins for Education Expo
April 17 Monday – last day for early bird registration for
Education Expo
April 20 Thursday – Chick-fil-A day
April 28 – last day to register for Education Expo (if space
is still available)
May 13 Saturday – Education Expo (check in, then 10 AM to
3 PM)
May 16 Tuesday – General PTO meeting: vote for new board
members
May 24 Wednesday – Golf Event (more info soon)

The next, and last PTO meeting for all parents is Tuesday May
16, where voting for new board members will take place. There will
also be an address of the year’s fundraising, with total
dollars raised and the improvement expenditures for our school.

PTO Board positions are available to any ACS parent interested
in chairing or serving on a committee. Position holders will be
voted onto the PTO board at the May 16th General Meeting.
Positions
include: President, Secretary, Fundraising, Communications, Enrichment
and Social. The Treasurer position is a two-year appointment
and will be continued by Bonnie Buckley for the 2006-2007 school
year.
Please call Kate Fischer (303-688-8461) or any current PTO board
member with questions or nominations. You may self nominate.

Make note of Thursday April 20th for Chick-fil-A Restaurant Day.
Stop by the Chick-fil-A on Founders Parkway ANY TIME (breakfast,
lunch or dinner) and TELL THEM you are with Academy Charter School.
Drive-thru is fine too. Best of all, they are offering a more generous
split above the standard 10%, based on the ACS generated sales
previously. Please take advantage of this easy fundraiser to help
our school and enjoy!
We raised $131 in March because we reached the 15% donation level.
If the turnout is good enough, we can even reach 20% in returns.
Thanks to all who ventured out for a good meal and a chance to
meet each other. Reminders will be sent home in the Friday folder
the week before.

There are SO many people to thank! I want to pass along
the thanks coming from all the teachers and staff for the
excellent lunches that so many of you contributed toward
prior to the parent/teacher conferences in March. There
were honestly so many people who helped that I'm afraid
I may have lost track of a few (please forgive me if so).

Watch for registration forms in the mail today for the EDUCATION EXPO!!! Return
your forms as soon as possible for “Early Bird” discounted prices
through April 17th! Look for an Expo table and posters set up in the hall next
week, to answer your questions about this exciting event.
Kids get to experience a “day camp” just for them, where they get
to pick the programs that interest them the most. Parents get a day off, but
they get to come back at the end of the day to enjoy a FREE magic show with their
kids.
Read your registration forms carefully, so you don’t miss any of the exciting
details for this new fundraiser.
