Misty O'Leary joined the PTO Board as VP of Communications at
the January 4th, 2005 meeting. Misty and her family have lived
in Colorado for six years. Misty and her husband, Jim, have two
sons. Thomas is in Mrs. Sanders kindergarten class, and Conor is
2 years old.
‘A Caribbean Soiree’ SILENT AUCTION!
Date: April 30th, 2005
Time: 4:00 P.M. – Midnight
Place: Kirk Hall in the Douglas County Fairgrounds
Caterer: Todd with Heat of the Moment
Band: our own Bill Flynn with the Shades
DONATIONS needed. It is never too early to start! Turn them into
the front office. We are competing with other schools for donations.
We have a better chance to get donations if we are the first to
ask. All parents are asked to help. The next planning meeting is
scheduled for January 24th in the Science Room.
WE ARE IN SEARCH OF A GREAT RAFFLE ITEM like a tropical vacation
or something in line with the auction theme. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Contact Michelle Fischer or Dolores Barton
if you are able to help.

INFORMATION PACKAGES CAN BE PICKED UP AT THE FRONT DESK ON FRIDAY
FOR VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN HELP WITH DONATIONS FOR THE AUCTION!!
Sports, Skates & Boards will be working with ACS PTO in
selling the red embroidered as well as the blue hooded sweatshirts.

Rally blankets will continue to be available for purchase in
various colors. New price will be $16.50, plus $2.00 monogramming
fee.
The PTO would like to encourage recognition of "exceptional" teachers
in the following ways: (1) You can nominate an exceptional teacher
through the KYGO and Applebee’s program on their website
KYGO.com; and/or (2) An "Exceptional Teacher Award" will
be announced at a Denver Nuggets game on Friday, April 15th.
This is an excellent opportunity to recognize teachers of exemplary
personal integrity and character, those who mentor and teach
children successfully, develop positive relationships with
parents, colleagues and others within the school community
and serve as
models for life-long learning.
