Wish List for Elementary Computer Lab

Dear parents,

As intermediate students get more comfortable and knowledgeable with technology, they often want to try their hand at digital photography and videotaping for some of their projects.  Below is a short list of items on my wish list for our Computer Lab:

·    “universal use” not manufacturer cables

·    with sound and zoom capabilities

·    with “universal use” cables and charging units

·    5-10 copies

·    Compatible with Microsoft XP operating system

Over the past two years, I spent most of my budget on replacing keyboard trays and headphones that breakdown from constant use.  This year I also spent a large part of my budget on new typing programs for grades K-6. 

The children would appreciate having the opportunities to use programs used in Douglas County elementary schools and experience downloading digital photos and video to meet DCSD technology standards for their grade level.
