in gently used mittens or hats to be collected for the channel 7 coat drive.
I will no longer be sending home a weekly behavior
sheet, unless your child slips below a green.
Please
note that the “ask me about” section covers items your child should know. If
they do not respond to the questions, this would indicate that they can use
your help to reinforce these items.
Please
note I have enclosed D’Nealian handwriting
descriptions in the Friday folder, so you can help your child with correct
letter formation.
Please continue bringing in your box tops for
education, the class that collects the most by Nov. 20th will get a pizza
party!
Ask Me
About:
The
letters M,A,S,P,T,I,N,T?
Your
child should be able to write these letters in upper case and lower case and
tell you the sound it makes and a word that goes with it?
Words
that rhyme with see?
How
to write and read the words I, can, we, the, like, a, see, go, to?
Can
I repeat the alphabet chart out loud from A-Z?
What
does fewest mean?
Can
I almost write the numbers 1-10?
Can
I create an A,B,B pattern? (spoon, fork, fork, spoon…)

*** Writing: Encourage your child to stretch out
the word “hhhhaaaatttt” and write down the letters
for the sounds they hear. Applaud their effort even if it’s not exactly right.
Our goal at this stage is to attach written letters to spoken sounds.
Homework Calendars are to be returned at the end of each
month. Please initial for each day you worked with your child. Thank you for
your help!
