November/December Book Report

Gingerbread Man Book Report

It’s time for a book report!  You will select and read a book, at your reading level (it can be AR, but it doesn’t have to be).  Once you have completed the book, fill out the gingerbread man (on the attached brown paper), and then write a 1-2 paragraph summary of the book (on the white writing paper).   Keep in mind to include an introduction, details about the story and a conclusion in your paragraph(s).  This report is done at home.  Your gingerbread man and summary is due on Friday, December 5.  Remember to do your best work!  Happy reading!

Native American Reports- Lillie’s Class- Due to Mrs. Pearson – 11/13

As we wrap up our unit on Native Americans, it is your turn to be an expert on your assigned tribe. You may use the information you gathered in class, library books, or information from the internet to make a presentation of your assigned Native American tribe. Be sure to include: the name of the tribe, area or location where the tribe lives/lived, information on their food (types of food, how they got their food), information on their shelter, boys’/girls’ jobs, and at least 3 other interesting facts.

You may choose to write a report, design a poster, make a book, or create a power point presentation. If you choose to create a power point, you can have mom or dad email it to me @ pearsonk@academycharter.org.  You will present your project to the class.

Your work will be evaluated on the following areas: information, neatness/effort, grammar/spelling, and presentation.

Your project is due Thursday, November 13, 2008.
