On the second page of the homework sheet is a short reading passage. Read the
passage two times each night. As you read have your mom or dad time you and
then record the time. Try to beat your time each night. Remember as you read to
pay attention to punctuation. Then on Wednesday night answer the comprehension
questions at the bottom of the page.
All
the homework, except for the storm research will be turned into the teacher on
Friday morning!
Fluency
As
I read, I will pay attention to the punctuation.
It
is Sunday. People on TV predict the weather. They let you know Sunday will be a
hot, sunny day. Now you know what the weather will be. It’s a great day for
swimming in the cold water! It is Monday now. It is warm, but not sunny. There
are gray clouds everywhere. It may rain. It is Tuesday now. It is a rainy, wet
day. People will have to use their umbrellas.
