Fluency Homework is on the second page. Please fill out the chart each night and on the last night have your child answer the comprehension questions

 

Spelling

Monday: Write each word three times in rainbow colors

 

Tuesday night: This week for writing your child will be writing a report on a storm of their choice. They have already chosen their storm in class. Their job tonight is to go online and find four kid friendly facts about the storm that they chose. Some good websites might be National Geographic for kids or skydiary.com/kids. Have the children write down their three facts and bring them in on Wednesday morning so they can write their reports!

 

Wednesday: Write sentences for each spelling word

 

Math A math worksheet will be sent home each night. Side A was completed in class. Side B was given for homework.

 

Reading

Read for 10 minutes and retell the story

 

Fluency On the second page of the homework sheet is a short reading passage. Read the passage two times each night. As you read have your mom or dad time you and then record the time. Try to beat your time each night. Remember as you read to pay attention to punctuation. Then on Wednesday night answer the comprehension questions at the bottom of the page.

 

 

All the homework, except for the storm research will be turned into the teacher on Friday morning!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fluency

It is Sunday. People on TV predict the weather. They let you know Sunday will be a hot, sunny day. Now you know what the weather will be. It’s a great day for swimming in the cold water! It is Monday now. It is warm, but not sunny. There are gray clouds everywhere. It may rain. It is Tuesday now. It is a rainy, wet day. People will have to use their umbrellas.
